Land Acquisition Officer, AIR 1978 Bom 325, had also taken the same view to the extent that what constitutes an award of the civil court has been provided for in Section 26 of the Act and thus, it is clear under Section 54 read with Section 26 that it is only an award as contemplated in Section 26, is appealable under Section 54. Unless an award as contemplated in Section 26 has come into existence, Section 54 would not come into operation.
