2. The contention is that the petitioners all of whom are the Assistant
Teachers working till date in the areas which are declared to be Naxal
Affected areas by the State of Maharashtra, are entitled to receive one
step promotional pay-scale. The next contention is that after having
worked for more than twelve years in the areas declared to be Naxal
Affected by the State of Maharashtra, now the respondent No.3 and 4
are seeking to reduce the said benefit and have proposed to pay the
petitioners time bound promotional pay-scale, which cannot be done
in view of the law laid down by the co-ordinate Bench of this Court at
Principal Seat, Mumbai in Writ Petition St.No.9543/2021 (Baban S.
Chavan & Ors. vs. State of Maharashtra and ors. with connected
matters) decided on 14/07/2021.
