34. The Hon'ble Supreme Court in Bhatia International v. Bulk Trading S.A. and Anr. while interpreting the provisions of Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 held that where there is scope of two possible constructions, a reasonable and common sense approach deserves to be adopted rather than preferring a construction that would lead to absurd results.
