He submits that firstly the present case is one where the petitioner was not merely acquitted of the charges levelled against him, but it is a case where the proceedings against him in the criminal court were quashed by the Supreme Court. He referred to the judgment of the Supreme Court in State through CBI v. B.L.Verma {1997(10) SCC 772} and followed by a learned Judge of this court in State of Kerala v. Krishnan P.V and others {2007(2) ILR Kerala 389} in support of his submissions.
