In Oriental Government Security Life Assurance, Ltd. v. Vanteddu Ammiraju (1912) I.L.R. 35 Mad. 162 the conclusions are no doubt opposed to mine in this case but there the question was not considered. It was assumed that the Married Women's Property Act in its entirety did not apply to Hindus. There the counsel for the insurance office conceded in appeal the rights of the plaintiffs to recover the money. The question of advancement or gift or trust was not raised in that case.
