The Supreme Court in the case of Union of India and Ors. v. Naik Subedar Baleshwar Ram and Ors. , has also held that the court-martial may award more than one punishment under Section 73 of the Act. Thus, there is no difficulty in holding that the court-martial can award more than one punishment to a person on conviction and as such the impugned order do not suffer from any legal infirmity.
