In light of the judgment of the Supreme Court in Sarla Verma (Smt) & Ors. vs. Delhi Transport Corporation & Anr., (2009) 6 SCC 121, and United India Insurance Co. Ltd. vs. Satinder Kaur alias Satwinder Kaur & Ors., (2021) 11 SCC 780 , out of the above amount so assessed, 1/3rd amount has to be deducted on account of personal and living expenses as the number of dependent family members is 2 to 3. So, in this matter, monthly loss of dependency would come out to be Rs. 22,734.66 (rounded off to Rs. 22,735/-) (2/3rd of Rs. 34,102/-). This needs to be multiplied by 11 to workout multiplicand/annual loss of dependency. Hence, multiplicand for this matter would be Rs. 2,72,820/- ( Rs. 22,735 x 12).

Ahlmad is directed to e-mail an authenticated copy of the award to the insurance company for compliance within the time granted as directed by the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India in WP (Civil) No. 534/2020 titled as Bajaj Allianz General Insurance Co. Pvt. Ltd. Vs. Union of India & Ors. on 16.03.2021. The said respondent is further directed to give intimation of deposit of the compensation amount to the claimant and shall file a compliance report with the Claims Tribunal with respect to the deposit of the compensation amount within 15 days of the deposit with a copy to the Claimant and his counsel.
