Paramjeet Singh @ Pamma vs State Of Uttarakhand on 27 September, 2010
In
Paramjeet Singh @ Pamma v. State of Uttarakhand the Supreme
Court surveyed the earlier case law and held that the deposition of
hostile witness can be relied upon "at least up to the extent he
supported the case of the prosecution." It was further clarified that
"the evidence of a person does not become effaced from the record

examined more cautiously to find out as to what extent he has
supported the case of the prosecution."
