Ranjit Sharma vs State & Ors on 27 September, 2019

At the outset, it is put to learned senior counsel appearing on behalf of the parties that on 24.12.2020 a Division Bench of this court had recused from hearing W.P.(Crl.) No. 2255/2019 titled Ranjit Sharma vs. State & Ors., which matter, it would appear, was in some way related LPA 209/2021, LPA 219/2021, LPA 221/2021, LPA 223/2021, LPA 224/2021, LPA 429/2021, LPA 430/2021, LPA 432/2021, LPA 475/2021 & LPA 52/2022 Page 10 of 11 to the subject matter of the disputes in the present batch of LPAs. That recusal was on account of the learned Presiding Judge of that Division Bench being disinclined to hear that case, although one of us viz. Anup Jairam Bhambhani J. was the other member of that Bench. Counsel are accordingly asked to express if they have any reservations in the present Division Bench hearing the matter, with Anup Jairam Bhambhani J. being one of the members.
