16. The Honble Apex Court in the case of Bachan Singh Vs. State of Punjab reported in 1982 (3) SCC 24 have held that under our Constitution, law can not be arbitrary or irrational and if it is, it would be clearly be invalid whether under Article 14 or Article 19 or Article 21.
