15. On that point the State PCB was directed to submit the report and the State
PCB has submitted that the Environmental Clearance was revoked vide
letter dated 29.12.2023 by the Madhya Pradesh State Environment Impact
Assessment Authority, during its 821st meeting held on 14.12.2023. The
revocation was based on the fact that the case fell under the category of
violations and in accordance with the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP)
dated 07.07.2021, issued by the Ministry of Environment, Forest and
Climate Change (MoEF&CC). The Hon'ble Supreme Court of India, by its
order dated 02-01-2024, in the case of Vanashakti v. Union of India in Writ
Petition (Civil) No. 1394 of 2023, stayed the operation of the Standard
Operating Procedure (SOP) which had been issued by the Ministry of
Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEF&CC) on 07.07.2021 and
28.01.2022.
