(2003 (6) SCC 25), has followed the ratio laid down in Nagpur Improvement Trust
case (supra) and accordingly held that the land owners are entitled for solatium
as provided under the Land Acquisition (Amendment) Act. It is therefore the
submission of the learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner is entitled
to the statutory benefits provided under the Central Act and to that extent the
decision of the Hon'ble Supreme Court in the aforestated decisions would aid the
case of the petitioners for getting enhanced compensation.
