8.1 In the case of Arnesh Kumar v. State of Bihar reported in
(2014) 8 SCC 273, the apex Court highlighted the rampant

8.2 In a precedent setting case of Preeti Gupta and Ors. v.
State of Jharkhand and Ors. reported in (2010) 7 SCC 667,
the Supreme Court held that vague and omnibus allegations
cannot form the basis of criminal prosecution against in-laws. The
