31. Recently in the case of Nand Lal and Ors. vs. State
of Chhattisgarh reported in (2023) 10 SCC 470, the Hon'ble
Supreme Court has found that there was a delay of around four to
five hours in lodging of the FIR which was not explained. The
Hon'ble Court observed in paragraph '24', '29', '30' and '31' as
