No doubt, in the aforesaid judgment, Hon'ble Apex Court has held that when a public servant was found guilty of corruption after a judicial adjudicatory process conducted by a court of law, judiciousness demands that he should be treated as corrupt until he is exonerated by a superior court but, after passing of judgment in K.C. Sareen (supra), Hon'ble Apex Court has rendered a number of judgments, wherein it has been held that judgment of conviction can be stayed in "exceptional" cases.
