Learned Government Pleader points out that, Ext.P8 Certificate
issued by the Calicut University does not say that the said
qualification i.e., M.Sc. Bio-Science is equivalent to M.Sc.
Zoology, but it only says that Calicut University recognizes the
said qualification of M.Sc. Bioscience for the purpose of teaching
Botany/Zoology at the 'Plus Two' level. The learned Government
also refers to the mandate of the decision rendered by the Apex
Court in Guru Nanak Dev University v. Sanjay Kumar
Katwal & another (2009) 1 SCC 610 (paragraph 16 onwards)

with regard to the nature of equivalency to be certified.
