ordinate Bench of this Court, referring to the judgment of
the Apex Court in the case of Bernard Francis Joseph Vaz
and others vs. Government of Karnataka and others
reported in 2025 SCC OnLine SC 20 in extenso, directed
the respondents to pay the compensation in favour of the
petitioners by acquiring the subject properties of the
petitioners under the provisions of Right to Fair
Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition,
Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013 by taking
necessary steps in this regard within a period of 3 months
from the date of receipt of the copy of the order. They
were also directed to pay the compensation, if any, to the
petitioners towards the value of the demolished structures,
buildings, constructions, etc. of the petitioners in
accordance with law.
