Additional District Judge, Banda [1994 AIR(All) 298] the Allahabad High Court
has held that the agreement between the Landlord and Tenant for letting and
occupation of a building in contravention of the provisions of the U.P.Urban
Buildings (Regulation of Letting, Rent and Eviction) Act, 1972 is void. In the
above judgment the Court took note of the fact that the very letting itself is bar
under the law. Therefore, the parties entered such terms is unenforceable.
