Reliance was placed in that case on a decision of the Privy Council in Rajangam Ayyar v. Rajangam Ayyar, AIR 1922 PC 266. That too, however, was a case of an agreement among the members of a Hindu joint family so that the question of any one acquiring title to the property in which he had no pre-existing interest did not arise.
