9. Since the rigours of Section 37 NDPS do not apply, the Court would
rely on catena of judgments by the Supreme Court that hold that the object
of granting bail is neither punitive nor preventative. The primary aim sought
to be achieved by bail is to secure the attendance of the accused person at
the trial7. Considering the overall facts noted above and the fact that
"intermediate" quantity of contraband recovered from the co-accused and
not directly from the Applicant and further considering that she has been in
