In AIR 2013 SC 2974: G. Ravindranath @ R. Chowdhary vs. E. Srinivas and Anr., while considering an appeal for enhancement of compensation, their lordships of Hon'ble Supreme Court held that enhancement of compensation shall be allowed if it is found that authority did not give due weightage to evidence produced by the appellant and overlooked the documentary evidence of expenses incurred by claimant.
