After repeal of the ULC Act,
Maharashtra adopted the Repeal Act in 2007. The savings clause
protects all orders under Section 20. It preserves all obligations
and restrictions. A Full Bench of this Court in Maharashtra
Chamber of Housing Industry v. State of Maharashtra held that
Section 20 exemption orders survive repeal and all their
consequences continue. The exemption order is therefore valid and
enforceable. It binds all parties even today.
