7. The Tribunal also took note of judgment of
Supreme Court in the case of Randhir Singh v. Union
of India and Ors. (1982) 1 SCC 418 in support of the
plea that in such a situation principle of 'equal pay
for equal work' stood attracted. It also pointed out
that it was necessary to create promotional avenues for
the respondents herein as the same was must in any
organisation to provide incentive for efficient work
and optimal output.
