In all the three decisions of the Supreme Court referred to above the second marriage had taken place in the year 1962, 1955 and 192 respectively. But here is a case where the second marriage between the accused 1 and 2 took place in the year 1985 at the time when Section 7(A) of Hindu Marriage Act of 1955 was inserted by Madras Amendment Act XXI of 1967. Section 7(A)(1) of Hindu Marriage Act of 1955 as amended in the State of Tamil Nadu reads as follows :-
