specific query put by this Court to the learned
Additional Public Prosecutor with regard to the
availability of the CCTV cameras at Santrampur
Police Station. It is to be noted that the installation
of CCTV camera in every police station is must.
The Apex Court in D.K. BASU VS. STATE OF
WEST BENGAL', AIR 1997 SC 610, has made it
compulsory to install CCTV cameraa in every
police station.
