4. Having regard to the submissions, the Writ Petition is disposed of
reserving liberty to the petitioners to furnish a copy of the report, dated
13.05.2017, to the Station House Officer, Paloncha Rural Police
Station/the 3rd respondent herein, within a week from the date of receipt
of a copy of this order. It is made clear that, in the event, the petitioners
furnish a copy of the said report to the said police officer, as stated
supra, the said police officer shall act on that report in strict accordance
with the procedure established by law and shall do the needful in the
matter following the precedential guidance in Lalita Kumari v.
Government of Uttar Pradesh1.
