S.G. Union Of India & Others vs Smt. Sima Banerjee on 5 January, 2012
Learned counsel for the petitioner has fairly accepted that
the petitioner now can not claim compassionate appointment in view of
the decision of the Supreme Court in the matter of Union of India and
others vs. Sima Banerjee, passed in Civil Appeal No.251 of 2017,
decided on 10.01.2017. However, he claims that he would have to be
given the benefit of ex-gratia compensation in terms of the 2006 policy.
