24. The entire journey of a Judge is to discern the truth from the
pleadings, documents and arguments of the parties. Truth is
the basis of the justice delivery system. This Court in Dalip

Singh v. State of U.P. (2010) 2 SCC 114 observed that: (SCC
p.116, para 1):

"20. Learned counsel for the respondents relied upon the
decision of this Court in S.P. Gupta v. Union of India: 1981
Supp SCC 87: (1982) (2) SCR 365 and read out several
passages from the judgment dealing with the question of
'standing'. In that case the Court was not concerned with a
Tribunal constituted under a Statute. It was discussing the
question of 'standing' in a proceeding before the High Court or
this Court. That ruling cannot help the respondents in the
present case.
