be made out since cancellation of the said selection
examination amounts ... come to the prima-facie finding that
respondent No.1 had committed contempt on the ground
that despite mere suspicion raised against the candidates
that during the pendency of the contempt case filed by
him, this Court had initiated suo motu contempt proceedings, vide Suo Motu ... failure to pass an order would give rise to a continuing contempt as long as
no order is passed. Filing of the contempt case

contempt continues to be committed by the accused

4. Heard the learned counsel ... contempt is continuous one, it has to
be seen, whether the contempt continues on the date when
the case is finally argued.

Department, Government of West Bengal, with regard to the said contempt
matter and requested him to take certain measures on the deficiencies ... West Bengal, Education Department.
In my view, this is a continuing contempt of an order passed by this Court.

the punishment of the contemner is not the end of the
proceeding in contempt. It is continuing contempt and it only ... passed on
the previous occasion is purged, the civil contempt is continuing
contempt.
