Appellants are 100% EOU and engaged in manufacture and export of
marble slabs and tiles. For said manufacturing operations, they import rough
marble ... warehoused goods which are used for
manufacture in bond for exports. In this regards reliance is placed on

The assessee has filed the return of income
submitted that the
assessee company is engaged in manufacturing, trading and export of
marble tiles & slabs. It valued its stock at cost
case are that the assessee deals in manufacturing,
trading and export of Marble, tiles and slabs. The assessee had disclosed a
gross profit rate
Revenue to show that there was no nexus between the marble slabs originally exported and the slabs imported by the respondents was not discharged; hence ... show cause notice to substantiate the allegation that the marble which was originally polished and exported was not of foreign origin. The goods had been
advance licences obtained initially by other exporters. Goods exported were finished products made out of marble slabs. The goods imported according to the declaration ... marble slabs. Exports of finished goods have been made by the respective exporters taking advantage of DEEC [Scheme] which enables duty-free import
