applicant who was making threatening calls from foreign countries and making extortion calls from abroad. Consequently, it is stated that the accused persons were taking ... said crime as alleged. It has been stated that neither extortion calls could be traced to the applicant nor it could be brought on record
cards on the basis of forged
documents and from which extortion calls were made to various
persons.
6. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that ... helped in activating the SIM card from
which the extortion call was made but there is no allegation that
the petitioner was party

extortion call from a mobile from a person who introduced
himself as an area commander of PLFI ... matter to one

extortion call from the same mobile number.
It appears that initially the petitioner
Rajesh @ Kala, with the
allegations of blackmailing and extortion. SIT scrutinized the allegations of
blackmailing and extortion. As per allegations in the FIR, complainant Haripal ... demanded Rs.53,000/- more and thus, it is stated that
extortion calls are still coming.
It is next stated in the affidavit that during
facts and circumstances of the present case as
the alleged extortion call has not resulted in delivery of goods i.e. transfer of
money, more ... here that this is very grave case
related to threatening and extortion call made to the
complainant, disclosing imminent danger to his life from
number from
which the applicant is stated to have received the extortion calls.
14. It is noted that the last incident against the prosecutrix
that the applicant/accused has provided sim card through which
whatsapp calls for extortion were made. It is further submitted by learned
APP that ... against the
petitioner are not grave and serious in nature because calls for extortion of a
sum of Rs.1 crore were made from
redevelopment of a chawl in Parel commenced, they started receiving
extortion calls from one Guru Satam (gang leader) from different
international numbers. It is alleged ... received 4 - 5
calls from a mobile number, however the complainant did not receive the
said calls. Later, again one person called on his mobile
stated in the impugned FIR and that the
petitioner after receiving extortion call from the
complainant and her gang, had lodged a report
against them
