Court directed investigation of the scam by C.B.I. Hon'ble Supreme Court
placed the investigation into Fodder Scam ... Supreme Court passed further directions in
relation to investigation of the Fodder Scam cases in the case of Union of
India -Vs. Sushil Kumar Modi
para Nos.27 and 28 as under :-
"27. In `Bihar Fodder Scam', this Court, taking into
consideration the seriousness of the charges alleged
inception, rather even since prior to its
inception. The infamous fodder scam is an example before us, which
took place in the undivided Bihar, when
remembering. Then had said
that Jagdish Sharma had been convicted in Fodder Scam. He had
further said that note-sheet was not prepared ... stated that Jagdish Sharma happens to be
convict of Fodder Scam which he came to know from newspaper.
Then had said that
para Nos.27 and 28 as under :-
"27. In `Bihar Fodder Scam', this Court, taking into
consideration the seriousness of the charges alleged
such scam might go upto about 1000 to 1200 crores. The fodder
scam of Lalu Prasad Yadav was of 38 crore rupees. In this
regard
such scam might go upto about 1000 to 1200 crores. The fodder
scam of Lalu Prasad Yadav was of 38 crore rupees. In this
regard
reported in 2007 (3) PLJR 629
to canvass that in the Fodder Scam Case when a raid was conducted in
the house of the accused
facing trial in altogether 7 R. C.
