not have been proved to be foolproof but other evidence
which assumes some importance because on it was found a footprint, and P.W. 25 lay on another mat (M.O. 18), which is important ... portico. One of these impressions was thought at one time by the Footprint Expert (P.W. 33) to be that of the right foot
clothes of the accused persons. The trial
court further concluded that the footprints at the crime scene were similar to
those of the shoes recovered ... nature. All these cast doubts about authenticity and reliability of the footprint
