same should be attributed with hash
value and seizure should be done with
declaration / certificate under Section ... Evidence Act, 1872.
When a RW drive is copied, a new hash
value is created. In that case, it is
crucial evidence to know
digital evidence storage media and it was authenticated by MS hash value. There is no such authentication and integrity certificate in respect of laptop
CRLJ 512 which held that if there was no proper sealing, evidentiary value would be lost.
5. It was submitted that the retrieval of data ... should have been imaged and copy alone used in the proceedings. Hash value of the data in the floppy should have been ascertained to show

j) The averment that parallel invoices were recovered from ... drive are not admissible for the
following reasons:
(i) The Hash copy of the contents of the pen drive or a
printout
