Professor or equivalent positions ... College of Engineering, Guindy (CEG), Chennai,
Anna University and that no NET/SLET/SET accredited test was
conducted for the programme for the Master
exempt them from the requirement of minimum
eligibility condition of NET/SLET for recruitment
and appointment of Assistant Professor ... long before the NET qualification was made
mandatory in 2010, would be unaffected by the later
requirement. In such circumstances, NET/SLET is a mandatory
recruitment and appointment of
Assistant Professors in Universities/Colleges/Institutions
is NET/SLET/SET. Clause 3.3.1 of the said Regulations,
however, provide that candidates ... exempted from the requirement of the
minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET for
recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor.
8. The persons
required under Clause
3.3.1. Clause 3.3.1 reads as follows:-
"NET/SLET/SET shall remain the minimum eligibility
condition for recruitment and appointment of Assistant ... exempted from the requirement of the minimum
eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET for recruitment and
appointment of Assistant Professor or equivalent
positions in Universities
exempted from the
requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET for
recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor.
iv.NET/SLET/SET shall ... required for such Master's Programmes
in disciplines for which NET/SLET/SET is not conducted.
3. The qualifications for the above post
shall
be exempted from requirement of the eligibility
condition of NET/SLET/SET."
7. Even the Academic Council of University of
Kerala vide decision ... exempted from the
requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of
NET/SLET/SET for recruitment and appointment of
Assistant Professor or equivalent positions in
Universities
exemption from passing the NET is granted
where (a) no NET examination is held in the subject or (b)NET/SLET
qualified/exempted candidates were ... degree in
Computer Science or MCA degree in Computer Science and NET/SLET
in the relevant subject. The qualification prescribed by the University
exempted from the requirement of the minimum
eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET for recruitment and
appointment of Assistant Professor or equivalent
positions in Universities ... Colleges/Institutions.
iv. NET/SLET/SET shall also not be required for such Masters
Programmes in disciplines for which NET/SLET/SET is not
conducted
exempted from the
requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of
NET/SLET/SET for recruitment and appointment of
Assistant Professor.

Clause 8 under general information provided that selection

exempted from the requirement of the minimum
eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET for recruitment and
