authoritatively decided by the Privy Council in the
Parlakimedi case(1) that the High Court of Madras--the High
Courts of Bombay ... respective jurisdiction. See also the

case(1). These writs were thus specifically directed to the

Madras High Court in Royts of Garabandho, Sariapalli etc. v. Zamindar of Parlakimedi. There it was held that proceedings for the issuing of a writ
