terms of Rule 6 of
the Maharashtra (Bombay Furlough and Parole)
Rules, 2024, it is the Inspector General of
Prison, who can pass the order
Release on Parole Rules, 1958 particularly Rule 10-A,
which reads as under :-
"[10A. (i) Notwithstanding] the provision of rule ... such prisoner on parole :
Provided that no prisoner shall be granted or released on
parole under this sub-rule, if, in the opinion
petitioner has availed 1st regular parole for 20 days and he himself
surrendered in time after expiry of parole period. Thus, there is no
