Bank were
sold. A sale certificate was issued in the name of auction purchaser Smt.
Chandrakanta Devi. An appeal preferred by him thereagainst before ... impugned judgment, the High Court, however,
reversed the said findings holding :-
i) The irregularities in the auction cannot be a ground
for impeaching the title
holder of title, the State had in it a right of reversion or for that matter
the character of the land was Nazul land ... bear repetition to state, cannot defeat the
lawful title acquired by an auction purchaser, particularly, in view of the
fact that Putri Sethani had questioned
hand, relied upon the testimonies of the
so-called eye witnesses and reversed the said judgment.
It is not disputed before us that Appellant ... Bhima Murari Banadi, who was a successful bidder in
