other hand, is that the deceased Radha committed
suicide by self strangulation with the help of a chunni. It is pertinent
to note that various ... accused has taken the plea that it was a case of self
strangulation as all the ornaments including the one which was given
could not over-rule the possibility of Kamlesh having at first self-strangulated herself and then receiving the bum injuries by falling by the side ... possibility that after a person puts himself to flames, he can self-strangulate also. He also mentioned that it was possible that Kamlesh after pouring
deposed that the cause of death was asphyxia as a result of strangulation. The above evidence of Dr. Bhardwaj had not at all been challenged ... obvious that the ligature mark could not be on account of self-strangulation by the deceased. In these circumstances the strangulation in question could
given
that the death had occurred due to "asphyxia resulting from strangulation".
This opinion in the post mortem report was not challenged ... sought to
argue that death could have occurred because of self-strangulation. Such a
stand was neither taken before the trial court and not even
possible for a mentally sick person to have
committed self-strangulation as is being suggested in the case in hand.

The plea of suicidal strangulation by the accused persons

the injuries were not self inflicted and there was least likelihood of the
deceased strangulating herself.

spurred or assisted the strangulation of the deceased, which was self-
inflicted in every sense of the word.
