appellant made
the following submissions:-
[a] Deceased Rekchand was the stepson of
Heerabai and he predeceased Smt. Heerabai,
his step-mother. During the lifetime ... absolute owner of her
half share in the undivided properties between
her stepson, Rekchand after the death of her
husband, Jethmal,l and also

childless stepmother is entitled to claim maintenance from her
stepson provided she is a widow or her husband, if living, is

Respondents stated that the Appellant's late husband had made her stepson

4. It is seen that this petitioner is the stepson of Lakshmiammal, who is a septuagenarian and that she has taken Rs.3 lakhs ... light of the fact that it is a dispute between stepmother and stepson. This Court does not find any infirmity in the closure report

Defence counsel submits that the petitioner is the stepson of the victim. He
is in no way involved in the offence
facto complainant and the
petitioner no.2 is her stepson. The petitioners are in custody for about 21 days.
