appellant nos. 2 to 5, after she had undergone a
sterilization operation at the Civil Hospital, Aurangabad.

operation, found that a mop (towel) had been left inside the
body of Chandrikabai when sterilization

sterilization is an indefensible offence. To
avoid such incidence, tests to detect pregnancy
should be done before sterilization operation is
