Section 10 (2) (g)
of the Act reads as follows:-
“10. (2) Stridhana includes:-
(g) property taken by inheritance by a female
from another female ... Section 10 is concerned, the relevant portion reads
as follows: -
“10(1) “Stridhana” means property of every description
belonging to a Hindu female, other than
appellant out of funds made available by
her father as 'stridhana' is false.
iv) However, the first appellant had executed a registered

given by her father, the 1st appellant purchased the suit land
properties were purchased by the defendant no.1

reported in 2016 (2) GLT 100, contended, that as the Stridhana were to be returned at the
paternal home of the respondent ... lodged. The proposition that refusal of the spouse to return the
stridhana to the wife constitute the offence of criminal breach of trust, is well
household articles worth of
Rs.2,00,000/- to the accused as stridhana property in the presence of
L.W.3-Md.Osman Bashu ... towards stridhana property of the
complainant, but the accused again demanded for additional dowry of
Rs.3,00,000/- and caused domestic violence
petitioner is entitled to claim the Stridhana, with
respect to dowry harassment and recovery of dowry, there is a
separate forum and this court ... same level of alternative
accommodation, further she has prayed for return of Stridhana,
however as observed above, she fails to prove that, she had
Stridhana
other manner whatsoever, and
also any such property held by her as stridhana
immediately before the commencement of this Act.
(2) Nothing contained ... other manner whatsoever, and
also any such property held by her as stridhana
immediately before the commencement of this Act.”
7. It is true that
parting with the land which she had received in marriage as
stridhana, there was an act of driving the deceased out of the
house which
