4. All candidates who will submit
their Ph. D thesis upto 31st
December, 1993.
By Circular dated June 15, 1993 in respect ... post of Lecturer :-
"Provided that candidates who have
submitted Ph. D thesis or passed
the M. Phil examination by 31st
December, 1993 are exempted
year 2003,
serious allegations were made in respect of plagiarism in the
thesis submitted by M. Venkataramanappa. The second
respondent initially referred the matter ... indicted for plagiarism
by the Commission not merely in respect of the thesis on
which he was conferred the Ph.D. degree but also
Alagappa University.
3.2. As per Regulation 8 , the writ petitioner submitted the thesis on
the discipline of education only and paid the prescribed ... discipline of education in the prescribed form. Having submitted the thesis in
the discipline of Education, he is not entitled to get Ph.D Degree
reads as under:--
"Provided that candidates who have submitted Ph.D. thesis or passed the M.Phil examination by 31st December, 1993 are exempted ... assuming that two alternatives have been envisaged. One is merely submitting thesis of Ph.D. by 31.12.93. In such case approving thesis and conferment
registration for Page 1225 Ph.D. degree for the title of the Thesis in respect of which the registration was granted, viz. "Small Farmers ... that, petitioner had completed data collection which was required for writing the Thesis and had also successfully completed the pre-Ph.D. Examination and sometime
further submitted that the petitioner was granted Ph.D., for his thesis "Validation of fresh Herbs and Traditional Herbal Formulation for Wound Healing Management ... rightly contended by the learned counsel for the petitioner, the thesis submitted for Ph.D., relates to Veterinary Surgery. The petitioner submitted his thesis
award of Ph.D degree :REGULAR
b. Evaluation of Ph.D thesis by TWO external examiners.
c. Conduction of Ph.D. viva-voce : OPEN ... Number of research papers published from his/her
thesis TWO out of which ONE published in referred
journal.
e. Number of research papers based
line, paragraph by paragraph) of any page
(1-328) in other thesis excepting the headers."
In the following paragraph, the commission has referred ... acknowledgement section in either thesis, before slipping back to the preliminary
enquiry report and the following impression in a single-sentence paragraph:
