(8)The Director General shall-(i)decide the participation of staff and students in workshops/ seminars and study tours;(ii)make appointments to the non-officer cadres in a manner prescribed by the General Council;(iii)have powers to take disciplinary action against staff of the Sansthan subordinate to him;(iv)maintain high standards of education;(v)finalise holdings of seminars/workshops, short-term refresher courses at the Sansthan.
