Section 270(1) in The Coimbatore City Municipal Corporation Act, 1981
(1)The council may require any building intended to be erected at the comer of two streets to be rounded off or splayed off to such height and to such extent or otherwise as it may determine, and may acquire such portion of the site at the comer as it may consider necessary for public convenience or amenity.
