270. Buildings at corner of streets.
(1)The council may require any building intended to be erected at the comer of two streets to be rounded off or splayed off to such height and to such extent or otherwise as it may determine, and may acquire such portion of the site at the comer as it may consider necessary for public convenience or amenity.(2)Subject to the provisions of sub-section (3) for any land so acquired, the corporation shall pay an amount which shall be the market value of such land on the date of acquisition.(3)In determining such an amount, allowance shall be made for any benefit accruing to the same premises from the improvement of the streets.
