Section 55 in The Goa, Daman And Diu Land Revenue Code, 1968
55. Revenue survey, settlement and term of settlement.
- The operation carried out in accordance with the provisions of this Chapter, or of the rules made under this Act, in order to determine or revise the land revenue payable on lands, and for the preparation and preservation of record of rights connected therewith or for any other similar purpose in any local area is called a revenue survey. Such survey may extend to the lands of any village, town or city, generally, or to such land as the Government may direct.
