(1)This Act may be called The Rajasthan Rent Control Act, 2001.(2)It shall extend in first instance to such of the Municipal areas which are comprising the District Headquarters in the State and later on to such of the other Municipal areas [xxx] [Omitted by Act No. 1 of 2006 (w.e.f. 22.02.2006)] as the State Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, specify from time to time.(3)It shall come into force with effect from such [date] [Enforced w.e.f. 1-4-2003 in Act No. 8(c)(11) Rule/01/2124, 21st March, 2003], as the State Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint.
