Section 4 in Gujarat Gas (Regulation of Transmission, Supply and Distribution) Act, 2001
4. Establishment and incorporation of Authority.
(1)The State Government shall, by notification in the. Official Gazette, establish an Authority by the name of the Gujarat Gas Regulatory Authority with effect from such date as may be specified in the notification.(2)The Authority shall be a body corporate with perpetual succession and common seal and may sae or be sued in its corporate name and shall, subject to the provisions of this Act, he competent to acquire, hold or dispose of property, both movable and immovable, and to contract and do all things necessary for the purposes of this Act.
