4.4.7Pre-Service Training for Teachers. - Teacher preparation is very essential for quality improvement. It will be important to ensure that pre-service training is strengthened with the help of inspiring teacher trainers. Opportunities for the professional development of teachers have to be encouraged and all efforts to provide effective pre-service and in-service training and induction have to be made to attain the objectives of quality education. SSA will converge with the Teacher Education Scheme such that teacher preparation as per district attrition can be ensured. For ensuring academic and professional qualification within a stipulated time frame, SSA will provide resources and organise training of untrained teacher leading to prescribed certification.
